Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Acots Corporation (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information when you use The Screen Reset (thescreenreset.com): a free quiz that shows your child’s Screen Pattern, and the paid 28-Day Reset Plan, for parents in India.

We aim to handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and related rules, as they apply to our services.

What we collect

  • Quiz answers about your child’s age band and everyday screen routines (no medical data).
  • Optional first name for your child (display on the plan only — not used in analytics).
  • Your email when you request the Screen Pattern. A WhatsApp number is optional, and only if you add one.
  • Agreement to email your result when you continue, plus an optional choice for weekly tips.
  • Payment metadata via Razorpay (order id, amount, payment status). We do not store full card numbers.
  • Basic technical and attribution data (e.g. landing path, referrer, UTM parameters) to understand how people find the quiz.

Why we use it

  • To generate and show your free Screen Pattern result.
  • To deliver a purchased 28-Day Reset Plan (dashboard and PDF) and send the plan link by email.
  • If you add a WhatsApp number, we store it so you can look an order up with it. We do not send WhatsApp messages.
  • To process payments securely through Razorpay.
  • To respond to support requests and honour refunds.
  • To improve the product and measure funnel performance.
  • Optional tips only if you separately opt in — you can withdraw later.

Payments (Razorpay)

Checkout is processed by Razorpay. Razorpay receives the payment details you enter. We store order identifiers, amount, and payment status needed to unlock your plan and handle refunds.

Email and WhatsApp

Plan links are sent by email only. If you add a WhatsApp number, we store it so you can look an order up later. We do not send WhatsApp messages. Optional tips are separate and go by email.

Not medical data

The Screen Reset is a family-routine plan, not medical advice. It is not a diagnostic service. Please do not submit health records or clinical information.

Sharing

We may use processors (hosting, email via Resend, payments via Razorpay, database) under contracts that require them to protect your data. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

We keep lead, order, and plan records for as long as needed to deliver your plan, honour refunds, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes — then delete or anonymise them. Payment event ids are retained for idempotent processing.

Your rights

Under applicable Indian law, you may request access, correction, erasure, or withdrawal of consent where relevant. Contact us at hello@thescreenreset.com.

Children

The service is for parents/guardians. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children. Child first names are optional and used only to personalise the plan for the parent.
